Draw for Champions League 2009/10

This Monday the draw for the first two qualifying rounds of the Champions League has been held at Nyon. Barça joins the competition at the group stage.
The Champions League 2009/10 has taken its first steps this Monday with the draw at Lyon for the first two qualifying rounds featuring old Barça opponents including Wisla Krakow and Levski Sophia.

The third knockout tie will be decided later on with the added new feature of a play-off before the group stage.

Barça is top seed

Reigning champions Barça are top seeds in the draw to be held on 27 August at Monaco for the group stage.

The last 16 will be decided on 18 December and the rest of the competition on 19 March. The final of the Champions League 2009/10 will be played on Saturday 22 May at Santiago Bernabéu.
